Sources & review policy
Health insurance content affects health and money. Every material claim here is sourced, dated and scheduled for review — and you can see the workings.
The evidence hierarchy
For product claims: the insurer’s current policy conditions, IPID and medical directory, at product level. For law and entitlement: the BOE, Spanish ministries and regional health services, and official foreign-government guidance. For market context: primary industry data with a stated methodology. Where a statement rests on our reading of a document rather than a line we can quote from it, the source entry says so. Forums, reviews and anecdotes are used only to find out what people are asking — never as proof of coverage or eligibility.
The claim register
Each changeable claim on a guide is tracked with: its source (URL or document), the publication or effective date, the date we accessed it, the insurer/product/region it applies to, its language, what it supports, its review status, and the next review date. Guides display their reviewed sources, review date and next review. Claims that would require a document we have not yet reviewed are not published — they are held in an internal evidence register until the primary document has been obtained and verified.
Review schedule and corrections
Every guide carries a next-review date, and material market changes trigger earlier review. When we get something wrong, we correct the page, note the correction, and — where the error was material — say so plainly. Corrections can be raised through the contact page.
