Terms of use
This website provides general information about private health insurance in Spain — it is not personal advice, and cover is only ever defined by an insurer's own documents.
Information, not personal advice
Content on this site is general information prepared with care under our sources and review policy. It is not personal insurance, medical, legal or tax advice, and it cannot account for your individual circumstances. Eligibility, prices, cover, exclusions and waiting periods are determined solely by each insurer’s current terms and underwriting decision — where anything here differs from an insurer’s documents, the insurer’s documents govern.
Using this site
You may use this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. Content may not be republished without permission. We work to keep information current per the review dates shown on each page, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is free of error at every moment — material corrections are made under our published policy.

Quotes, applications and what you must tell an insurer
A quote is an indication based on the answers you give us. It is not an offer of cover, and it does not bind any insurer. Cover exists only once an insurer has accepted your application and issued its own documents, and the price and terms in those documents govern.
Prices are valid only for the period stated on the quote itself and can change before a policy starts — most often because a date of birth, a start date or an answer about medical history turns out to be different from what the quote assumed.
You have a duty to answer an insurer’s questions honestly and completely. This matters more than anything else on this page: an answer that is wrong or left out can allow an insurer to refuse a claim or cancel a policy, even long afterwards, and even where the omission felt minor at the time. If you are unsure whether something counts, tell us and let the insurer decide.
If something goes wrong
If you are unhappy with the service you have received from this website, tell us first. Complaints can be sent to info@spanish-healthinsurance.com, or in writing to the registered address above. Please include enough detail to identify what happened and when.
Complaints about an insurance policy itself — a claim, a renewal, a premium, a cancellation — are handled by the insurer that issued it, through the customer service route set out in your own policy documents. Where an insurer’s internal process has been exhausted, Spanish law provides for escalation to the Complaints Service of the Dirección General de Seguros y Fondos de Pensiones.
We do not publish response-time promises here that we have not committed to.
Links to other sites
Where we link to a government body, a regulator or a source document, we do so because it is the primary evidence for something stated on the page. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.
Intellectual property
The text, structure and design of this site belong to its operator. You may read, print and share pages for your own use. Republishing, scraping or reusing the content commercially requires permission.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability where Spanish law does not permit it to be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information published here rather than on an insurer’s own documents or on advice given for your specific circumstances.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the service develops. The review date shown on this page tells you when they were last checked.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law, and the Spanish courts have jurisdiction.
