Editorial policy
Commercial relationships pay for this service to exist. They do not decide what any guide says.
The separation
Guides are written from evidence — policy documents, law, verified directories — and their conclusions are never adjusted for commercial reasons. No insurer pays for placement in a guide, no ranking is sold (we publish no rankings at all), and the cover recommended to you follows from your circumstances, not from what is commercially convenient.
What commerce does affect — disclosed
We are paid when a policy is arranged, and where we earn commission the existence of commission is disclosed. What never varies with commission is the content of our guides, the cover we recommend for your situation, or the caveats attached to your quote. How our service works sets out what we confirm, and when.
Enforcement
Anyone — reader, insurer or team member — can flag a suspected breach through the contact page. Breaches are corrected publicly under our sources and review policy.
